The Descent
If you like horror movies, you should go see this. Opens this weekend. I like horror movies, but I’m normally disappointed. Horror movies rarely live up to their hype. The Descent seems to be a case of the opposite. There is very little hype for this movie. I don’t think many people know about it. As a horror movie, it was very satisfying. A lot of jump moments, and playing off some truly scary stuff.
A group of adventurous women go exploring a cave and find… something. I’m not going to give it away. It’s better if you see it without knowing much about it. I really hope reviewers and other exposure for the movie doesn’t spoil it. It’s rare that I find a horror movie truly scary, but this one did the trick. I jumped out of my seat several times.
If you’re a fan of the genre, do yourself a favor and go see it. Then come back here so we can talk about it!
P.S. I really need spoiler tags.

I can’t watch horror unless I know exactly what happens before it happens and even then…
Bad experience when I was in 6th grade and ever since I’ve had nightmares at the slightest bit of horror.

This movie is the scariest horror movie I have ever seen :|
Great movie, you really get involved with fate of the (poor) women.
