One thing the book does have is detailed descriptions of the early versions of the original stories, and that&#039;s where a lot of the prequel material came from. Star Wars was originally supposed to be about Mace Windu.

From reading it, I get the idea that lot of what&#039;s in the prequels were things that were cut or revised from the originals (Episode 4 - 6).

From a creative development standpoint it explains a lot why 1-3 aren&#039;t as good as 4-6 (nostalgia aside).</description>
