Our Blog Community…
Seth Godin has a definition for yet another type of blog.
“I think we’re seeing the rise of the RH (Rocky Horror) blog. These are blogs with a posse, a cadre of loyal readers who participate by chat, comments or in a tightly-knit circle of blogs. The goal of the blogger is to put fuel on the fire and to keep the existing audience engaged. The ideas don’t have to be new, and they don’t have to spread, but the blog is a great way to create and maintain this community of fellow travelers.”
Since blogs like Melly’s All Kinds of Writing, many of the others in the sidebar, and yours truly don’t really fit under the ‘cat blog,’ the ‘boss blog,’ or the ‘idea blog,’ then there’s really only one kind of blog category left that we fit.
I guess that makes us Rocky Horror blogs. I’ll take it. :)

Quantum Returns After Technical Difficulties
Sorry for the interruption of service. I switched from Yahoo Hosting to BlueHost which is much cheaper, and allows PHP on all hosting packages. The change was long overdue. As a result of the new PHP goodness, I switched from Blogger to WordPress. There should be no more suffering from Blogger outages, since WordPress posting and editing of files all occurs on the server itself. Hurray for PHP and better systems! Please update your feeds.
Things are in a rough state around here until I get the site fixed up in all its glory. Until then enjoy nifty new things like categories, etc. I’ll be adding new features as I discover more cool WordPress plugins.
The ability to have several site pages is another feature WordPress has that Blogger lacks. This will allow me to create that writers resource page I’ve been wanting forever. That will be coming shortly.
I apologize for dropping out on you guys so abruptly. I hope to make up for it with juicy content soon. Thanks!

Novelist Biz Plans
“If you’re stuck thinking of authors as ‘writers,’ you’re never going to understand branding.”
An apt quote from this Forbes article on successful authors. Which begs the question; What is your business plan for novel-writing? Do you have one?
Thanks to Grumpy Old Bookman for that link.
